Alguns dos maiores nomes do Hip Hop foram homenageados nos BET Hip Hop Awards 2021, esta terça-feira (5), no Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center em Atlanta.

Além de premiar aqueles que foram destaque no último ano, o evento (gravado antecipadamente), contou com uma série de atuações, entre elas Young Thug e Gunna (que abriram a cerimónia); BIA em parceria com Lil Jon, Baby Keem, Latto, Tobe Nwigwe, Fat, Nel, Isaiah Rashad, Doechii e Kal Banx.

Houve ainda com uma performance especial de Nelly, o rapper que foi homenageado com uma espécie de prémio carreira, o "I Am Hip-Hop Award".
Tyler, The Creator foi também um dos "special one" da noite: recebeu o prémio de Influência Cultural, além de vencer nas categorias de Melhor Artista ao Vivo e Álbum do Ano com seu último disco Call Me If You Get Lost.

Outra vitória que marcou esta gala, inclui o hit “WAP” de Cardi B e Megan Thee Stallion. A música arrecadou os prémios de Melhor Videoclipe de Hip Hop, Melhor Colaboração e Música do Ano.
